Status & conversion review
We map whether your existing licence can be exchanged, needs a theory test, or requires a first-issue route under the host country’s refugee and traffic rules.
We prepare recognition files, certified translations and official exam bookings so refugees and beneficiaries of protection can use the legal route in the country where they reside. National authorities remain the only bodies that issue licences. Everything on this site is reference information — your exact terms, timing and price are agreed individually with a manager on WhatsApp.
Legal scope. Aurelia does not sell, print or courier driving licences. We do not bypass theory or practical tests. We help you assemble a complete file, book the correct authority, and understand conversion, exchange or first-issue rules that apply to your status.
Typical desk turnaround for a complete submission pack is up to 10 working days after we receive readable scans. Authority decision times are separate and vary by member state.
Please note: all figures and services here are shown for reference only. The scope, timeline and fee for your situation are always discussed and confirmed individually with your manager on WhatsApp before any work begins.
Practical help with the lawful mobility procedures already written into EU and national rules — especially for people rebuilding life after displacement. The list below is a reference guide; the exact service for your case is always agreed individually with a manager on WhatsApp.
We map whether your existing licence can be exchanged, needs a theory test, or requires a first-issue route under the host country’s refugee and traffic rules.
We arrange sworn or certified translations of licences, identity papers and protection decisions so the file meets the receiving authority’s language rules.
We book theory, practical and municipal counters where remote booking exists, and prepare you for what you must attend in person.
Advice is tied to the country of lawful stay. We do not offer “EU-wide plastic cards” or licences without a competent national issuer.
Country-specific theory outlines, document checklists and interpreter notes. Coaching is educational; it does not replace the official examination.
A named officer answers in English. You send scans, receive a written scope, and get appointment confirmations in one thread.
Most of the paperwork can be prepared remotely. The licence itself is issued only after the competent authority completes its own checks and, where required, you pass its exams.
Our part of the work is built to be quick and low-effort for you. You stay in your own city, we handle the paperwork, and the official card reaches you the way the authority delivers it.
Once we receive readable scans, your complete submission pack — file, forms and certified translations — is typically prepared within 10 working days.
We book the official test at the centre closest to where you live and, where the country allows it, in a language format you can handle. No travelling across the country.
After you pass, most authorities post the finished licence to your home through their own service. We track the step and keep you updated until it arrives.
The 2-week figure covers our desk work only; authority queues, exam slots and card production are set by the national office. We prepare, book and follow up — we never issue, print or hand-deliver the licence ourselves.
Rules differ. A German exchange is not a French first issue. We work case by case for residents and beneficiaries of protection in these member states.

These documents recognise our information and guidance work. They are not government licences and do not authorise us to issue driving licences — those are granted solely by the competent national authorities. Every case is discussed individually with your manager on WhatsApp.
“They told me clearly I still had to sit the theory test in Berlin. The file was complete and the appointment was booked. No surprises.”
“WhatsApp replies were formal and fast. Translations arrived in a week. The préfecture accepted the pack on the first visit.”
“I wanted everything done from home. They prepared the papers remotely; I still went to the RDW desk myself. That honesty mattered.”
No. Everything here — services, timing, coverage and figures — is published for reference only. It helps you understand how the lawful route works. The terms that actually apply to you are always discussed and agreed individually with a manager on WhatsApp, based on your country of residence, your protection status and your documents.
In most member states, yes — but by the authority, not by us. After you complete their process, the national office posts the finished card to your registered address through its own service. We track that step and keep you informed. We never print or courier licences ourselves.
Our part — assembling the file, translations and booking — is typically ready within 10 working days of receiving readable scans. The authority’s queues, exam dates and card production add their own time, which is outside our control, so we never promise a licence in a fixed number of days.
No. We book the official test at the centre closest to where you live and, where the country allows, in a format you can handle. You attend in your own city or district.
Consultation and file preparation can. Identity checks, medicals, biometrics, theory and practical tests usually require your presence. We will tell you which steps are remote in your country before you pay.

Everything on this site is for reference. The real work starts in chat: send your country of stay, protection document and a photo of any current licence, and your case — scope, timing and fee — is agreed individually with your manager. You receive a written scope before any fee is taken.

Identity data, residence and protection status, driving-licence images, correspondence content and WhatsApp messages — solely to assess and prepare a lawful licensing file.
Where we handle special-category or sensitive data linked to protection status, we rely on your explicit consent and on the establishment of legal claims (Art. 9(2)(a) and (f)).
WhatsApp is provided by Meta; messages may leave the EU/EEA under Meta’s terms and standard contractual clauses. We may share data with sworn translators and, on your instruction, with the competent national authority. We never sell personal data.
Closed files are kept for 24 months, then deleted, unless a longer period is required by accounting or anti-fraud law.

Do not send originals you cannot replace — send scans.
Services are limited to information, document preparation, certified-translation coordination and booking of official appointments. We do not issue, alter, laminate or courier driving licences.
You confirm that documents you send are genuine, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you will attend every examination or identity appointment required by the competent authority.
We may decline any instruction that seeks a licence without the statutory tests, a licence for a country where you do not reside, or any counterfeit instrument. Such attempts may be reported to the authorities.
Outcomes depend on national law and the authority’s decision. We do not guarantee that a licence will be granted, exchanged or posted within a fixed period.
Our liability is limited to the fee paid for the affected service, except for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, or where liability cannot be limited by law.
Belgian law governs these terms, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.

Fees are quoted in writing on WhatsApp before work starts. They cover desk time, translation coordination and booking support — not government stamps, medicals or exam fees, which you pay directly to the authority.
If we have not yet instructed a translator or lodged a booking, you may cancel for a full refund of our fee within 14 days (EU consumer right of withdrawal), or earlier on request. Where you expressly ask us to begin during the withdrawal period, you may owe a proportionate amount for work already done.
Once translations or bookings are placed, our fee is non-refundable except where we failed to deliver the agreed pack. Authority refusals are not a ground for refund if the pack was complete and accurate.
